The charity was founded in 1990 by members of St Mark’s Church, Biggin Hill.  They have been supporting disadvantaged children in the Comanesti area of Romania for sixteen years now. During that time they have been involved in many projects, frequently working with other charities. At the moment their biggest commitment is the running of The Robert Cole Centre, which is a day centre for children with Special Needs. They have set up workshops for sewing, carpentry, car maintenance, ICT training, Art, Crafts and Music.

Here are some photos from a recent trip to Romania which was very successful and rewarding. The charity taught the youngsters the basics of sewing and made Korbond Friendship Bracelets.

In 2009 Korbond donated a further 4329 Friendship Bracelets allowing the charity to take them further afield, set up more workshops and engage more children in the art of crafting.
